Bollorè Logistics is a global leader in supply chain management and ranks among the top 10 global players in the transport and logistics field. It has been operating in Singapore for 30 years, providing international customized solutions in the Luxury and Cosmetics, Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Aeronautics sectors.

Blue Hub is the latest Bollorè logistics center, a new generation logistics platform that covers an area of 50,000 sqm.

A technologically advanced building that fully integrates automation solutions that improve storage flexibility, productivity, and efficiency for major customers in the perfume and cosmetics sector. With a storage capacity of 33,000 boxes handled by 72 shuttles, an automated multi-shuttle system that helps reduce the warehouse surface by up to 70%. It is also the Blue Hub equipped with a 43-metre high energy-efficient Spiralveyor® conveyor, which generates consumption savings of up to 87%. The Blue Hub is considered a new generation sustainable architecture also because it is equipped with an advanced energy management system that uses the IoT to perform predictive analyses of the building, and an intelligent lighting control system.

For all these reasons, Bollorè Logistics has obtained several awards. In May 2019, it received Green Mark Platinum - the currently highest certification under the BCA Green Mark program, the green building rating system for evaluating a building for its environmental impact and performance. Blue Hub also boasts the globally recognized LEED Gold environmental label for the construction industry, developed by the US Green Building Council. Finally, the BiodiverCity© Label of the International Biodiversity and Property Council© (IBPC), which evaluates the performance of construction projects considering biodiversity, distinguishes it as the first project in Asia to be certified by this external organization.

It also focuses on the development of innovative solutions that derive from creative collaborations. Indeed, Blue Hub hosts the second Innovation Center B.Lab. A regional platform for interdisciplinary research and cooperation that fosters collaborative work among industry stakeholders. The approach allows Bollorè Logistics to co-innovate with its customers and partners through various projects, particularly in the field of robotics and digital and sustainable technologies. With B.Lab, Bollorè can also work with local universities and train young talents on creative thinking and the creation of logistics solutions.

Isopan’s contribution for Blue Hub

More than 10,000 sqm of Isopan Isofire Wall sandwich panel with a thickness of 100 mm were used for the construction of Blue Hub. This specific product was chosen for its thermal insulation characteristics and for the high fire behavior conferred by the mineral wool insulating core. In fact, this product has the A2 s1 d0 fire reaction certification and the EI 120 fire resistance certification.

Furthermore, for this project the Isofire Wall panel has obtained the local Singapore CoC certification, the Certificate of Conformity, issued by the prestigious Setsco laboratory, which certifies the fire safety of the product in compliance with the product testing standards and the certification requirements for the Singapore market.

In this project, the peculiar use of the extruded aluminum joint of the Isopan solution allows an optimal installation of the wall panels with a horizontal orientation, combining aesthetics with functionality. The panels were also made customized in the 90° corner version to effectively cover the corners of the building, creating an aesthetically pleasing effect of continuity.

Isopan also provided for the customized design of the elements called IN-COMPO FINS placed vertically on the facade in different heights and colors, which give a pleasant aesthetic sense and movement to the facade.

This is the first major project in Singapore and the region using Isopan's products and solutions. In this context, the contribution of Isopan’s partner Raytec was fundamental, who held the role of local technical consultant for the installation team to guarantee timely support when required and to ensure the correct assembly of the materials in compliance with the manufacturer's and in the interest of complying with local fire prevention regulations.

The value of this collaboration has also been shown in the ability to overcome the complexities arising from time differences between countries and the integration of application practices into the local building context
