ESG rating by Cerved Rating Agency: new and improved results for Manni Group

In 2021, Manni Group had chosen for the first time to voluntarily request the Cerved Rating Agency's assessment of all its activities according to ESG (Environmental - Social - Governance) criteria with reference to the year 2020, a responsible approach that demonstrates the Group's concrete commitment to be transparent, accountable and thus comparable, and to consolidate its reliability towards its Stakeholders.

Motivated to continuously improve its operations with a view to constant growth and the creation of lasting and shared value in the long term, Manni Group has renewed its request for an evaluation by the Cerved Rating Agency of its 2021 activities.

The Group's efforts during the year bore well-deserved fruit: the new rating led to an increase in the ESG score from 65.4 to 67.5 while remaining in the 'High' category with a BBB rating. A satisfactory achievement that, again according to the ESG Score Breakdown, places the Group above the median of companies in the 'Equipment & Machinery' sector within which it was assessed, particularly for the Environmental variable.

Positive aspects highlighted in the assessment include the increase in the share of renewable energy in the total energy consumed, the adoption by Isopan's Italian offices of an ISO 14001 and 45001 certified management system, the adoption of a system for assessing the socio-environmental performance of the supply chain, and the identification of challenging objectives in the environmental area as part of a strategic sustainability plan being adopted by the Group.

In addition, the implementation of an energy efficiency plan, the application of a Procurement Policy and the initiation of ESG screening of strategic suppliers, and the presence of an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) System are some of the factors that have enabled these positive results to be achieved.

Manni Group confirms for 2021 its commitment to continue its path towards reducing its environmental impacts and its propensity to increasingly integrate ESG factors into its strategic decisions, both in the short and long term.
