Cerved Rating Agency’s assessment continues: Manni Group achieves level A ESG rating
For the third year in a row, Manni Group has requested a voluntary assessment by Cerved Rating Agency on its activities for the year 2022 according to ESG (Environmental - Social - Governance) criteria. The outcome shows an improvement over the previous assessment, confirming the Group’s ongoing commitment to increasing the quality of its operations’ impact.
This year we achieved a level A ESGe rating, with a score of 70.1, placing us in the High category. A new milestone that fills us with satisfaction and proves how the choices Manni Group makes every day steer it towards the achievement of ever new and ever more challenging goals. A journey that began in 2021 with an ESG score of 65.4, which grew to 67.5 the following year, within the BBB rating.
According to the ESGe Score Breakdown, the Group continues to place above the median of companies in the “Equipment & Machinery” sector within which it was assessed, particularly for the Environmental variable.
On the Environment plan, Cerved Rating Agency comments positively on the increase in the percentage of minimum recycled steel content in total purchased materials compared to the previous year, and on the fact that more than half of the raw materials used come from recycled sources. In addition, 90% of waste is recovered or recycled within the company’s own production, which is better than the industry median and higher than the previous assessment. In the Social sphere, there is a good level of employee retention and the extension of training on ESG issues to all employees, as well as the contribution to various initiatives with associations, research centres, theatres, and universities. At the Governance level, the rating recognises the establishment of the Sustainability Committee in 2023.
