The revitalization project of the Val di Sole ski resort involved the accommodation facilities from the 1970s and 1980s in Marilleva, a district of the Municipality of Mezzana in the province of Trento, which underwent a process of redevelopment and energy efficiency improvement. The first to be redeveloped was the Albarè Residence in Marilleva 1400, the largest mountain construction site in Italy, with an investment of around 30 million euros and 14 companies involved.
The main objective was to find solutions that would not alter the iconic appearance of the stilt-like pillars, and the structure made of concrete, glass, and steel, making it a unique piece in the architectural landscape of the 20th century.
Manni Green Tech provided a complete turnkey service, which included the design, supply, and installation of the ventilated façade in a cell system. The section of the façade, trapezoidal in shape (bow-window), is made of a 4 mm thick composite aluminum external panel, rock wool insulation, and a substructure made of carpentry framing.
The solution developed by Manni Green Tech ensured that the tight deadlines imposed by the Bonus requirements and the need for public access during the summer season were met, despite the site's challenging location due to its altitude and the winding roads leading to the construction site. Furthermore, the difficulty posed by the heterogeneity of the façade cells, characteristic of the 1970s building, was successfully resolved by identifying the correct composition, which simplified both production and installation.
