CR2 Sinapsi Center’s opening, enclosed by Isopan’s technologies
The new center of excellence for disability in Cremona, enclosed by Isopan’s technologies
On Saturday, September 21, in the heart of Parco del Morbasco in Cremona, the CR2 Sinapsi Center was inaugurated, a hub of excellence dedicated to the world of disability. The event was attended by numerous city authorities, representatives of volunteer organizations, and partner companies that contributed to its creation.
The center was born from the initiative of the Occhi Azzurri Foundation, founded in 2015 by the Ruvioli family in response to the challenges posed by the rare genetic condition affecting their son, Orlando. Filippo Ruvioli, president of the Foundation, aimed to provide the city of Cremona with an innovative resource to support other families facing similar difficulties.
The ceremony opened with speeches by the Bishop of Cremona, Monsignor Antonio Napolioni, and Mayor Andrea Virgilio, who emphasized the importance of the network of collaborations that made the creation of the center possible. Among the speakers, Professor Marco Imperadori from the Politecnico di Milano, lecturer in technological innovation and contributor to the design of the structure, praised CR2 Sinapsi as an example of technological and inclusive excellence.
Isopan, alongside other partner companies, played a key role in the celebratory event by creating the building's envelope with the ADDWind ventilated facade system, finished with Rockpanel Woods by ROCKWOOL, and installing the GreenROOF system on the roof in collaboration with DAKU Italia.
Many other organizations provided their solidarity, including Fondazione Cariplo, Banca d’Italia, UniCredit, Arvedi Buschini, Giorgio Conti, and Barbara Genovese Foundations. CR2 Sinapsi also boasts prestigious medical and scientific collaborations, including Professor Marco Imperadori, Professor Elisa Maria Fazzi from the University of Brescia, Professor Simona Orcesi from the Mondino Foundation in Pavia, Dr. Rosario Montirosso from IRCCS "E. Medea", scientist Riccardo Sabatini, Professor Robert Green from Harvard, and Dr. Serafino Corti from the Fondazione Istituto Ospedaliero di Sospiro.
The project stands as a model of technological and human excellence, made possible through the synergy between public and private sectors and volunteer associations, with the active participation of companies like Isopan, Fondazione Promozione Acciaio — of which Manni Group is a member — Steel & Co, Officine Tamborino, Knauf, and Scaffsystem.
